Core Beliefs

1. The reality of one living and true God, a Triune God with three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

2. God created the entire universe out of nothing. By His will, the universe came into being.

3. Mankind was created in the image of God and bears that image in a way that is unique within creation.

4. Mankind fell into sin, breaking our relationship with God. Nothing that we could do in our own strength could repair that relationship, because our sin placed us under God's wrath.

5. God, in His mercy, sent His Son, the second person of the Trinity, to take on the form of man and through His righteousness earn salvation. He died on a cross on behalf of all mankind, as a substitute for us, taking our sin upon Himself and bearing the wrath of God in our place. Through this, He has extended His grace to us. He didn't stay dead, but rose from the dead on the third day, showing His victory over death, and His ability to bring eternal life.

6. The Gospel. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, that he was buried, and that He rose again on the third day. Believing this truth, in faith, is the core of our Christianity.

7. Salvation is available by the grace of God, and it is received by faith alone, without any works.

8. Those who receive salvation by grace through faith become Christians. The Bible makes it clear that Christians are to assemble themselves together into local churches. The local church is to be the central hub of teaching, preaching, making disciples, sending out missionaries, etc.

9. One day, Christ is going to return, He will judge all mankind, both the living and the dead, based on their sins or on whether or not they have received salvation by grace through faith. Those who have been saved will be glorified and enter a new heaven and new earth for eternity. Those who have not been saved will be cast into the Lake of Fire, which is called the Second Death.

10. The Bible is God's Word. It was communicated to mankind through the inspiration of men over a period of time. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. As God's Word, it is our source of truth and doctrine. Our church and our personal living is modeled on the teachings of the Bible. The King James Version is the primary translation that we use for preaching and teaching.
